#38–Do you remember who you are?

You know who you are. But do you always remember?

I am a writer.

At three, I “wrote” stories on a blackboard in my room, and I read them to my toys.

At seven, I very badly wanted to write a book, although I couldn’t understand how books were made. My parents brought me a blank book from Cannes and I wrote in it. Poems, short stories, plays.

At 10, I wrote, illustrated, and made my first book (in arts and crafts class. The teacher said my handwriting was horrible).

At 13, my father said that to be a writer, I needed to know a lot of things.

So I forgot.

Then I became a linguist. And then a voice therapist. And a researcher. And a communication coach. And a leadership coach. And.

And in the meantime, my true self (The Poet) was safely kept in a cage.

Guarding the cage, my money ghosts made me look for answers elsewhere (teachers, books, business coaches, online courses creation courses…).

But then I remembered. I am a writer. I can do anything, as long as I don’t forget.

Do you always remember who you are?

Love,

Carolina
