#3–The fear of change is real

Have you ever been so afraid of something that you wished you’d die instead?

I have.

I was on my way to a meeting that I felt utterly unprepared for and, in the car, I kept fantasizing that a truck would hit me. Dying would spare me the meeting I was so terrified to have.

Because being in that meeting meant stepping up to the plate––and what if I didn’t hit the ball?

And if the meeting went well and I got the gig, I’d need to raise to the occasion and deliver on my promise––and what if I couldn’t?

That’s why it feels “easier” to stay on the bench and complain that we’re not given the chance to bat.

What change do you fear the most?

Love,

Carolina
